Athletes who register after April 16, will not have their names on the back of the tshirt. The Super Youth Circuit (SYC) is Sanctioned by USA Fencing. It is a group of events throughout the country for youth fencers in the Y14, Y12, and Y10 age categories in all six weapons that provide an opportunity for young athletes to experience elite competition, earn national points and prepare for future nationals events while limiting travel time and expenses for the fencers and families. PLEASE BRING TO CHECK-IN: * Waiver - must be filled out and signed * Valid USFA Card * Must bring proof of age: Copy of Government Issued ID (Passport, Birth Certificate, etc.) * Fencers must check-in each day by close of registration of their event that day. * Fencers are only permitted to fence in one event per day. Full equipment check is required: Lame, Mask, Head cords, Body cords, cuffs. Fencers only need to have their equipment passed once for the duration of the SYC. Names are NOT required on lames, jackets or knickers FORMAT OF THE EVENTS: One round of pools with 100% promotion to a Direct Elimination Table. Seeding: 1. Current national rolling point standings according to age group and weapon. The filters down the entire list, not just the top 32 as done in a NAC. 2. Letter Ranking with year classification 3. Athletes with neither of the above are seeded on a random basis after the athletes who are seeded by the preceding factors. Blade Length: For Y10 events, a 30" or 32" blade is required. For Y12 and Y14, standard blade length of 30"-35" is permitted. These rules are strictly enforced.
