Join us at South Miami Middle School for two days of great fencing! Our sabre tournament will benefit a very worthy cause as well!

Our Miami Madness tournament for this year is a very special event. Sean Vilar, as part of his Eagle Scout project is sponsoring the tournament to help raise funds for the Leisure Access Program of Miami Dade County. This program provides diverse activities for young people with physical and mental challenges.
One of the activities the Leisure Access participants enjoy is fencing, taught by Max Tack-Fang and Mike Elder! The proceeds of the sabre portion of this tournament will benefit Miami Dade Parks & Recreation North Region that helps to fund the Leisure Access fencing program. As with everything else, budgets are very tight and the fencing program is suffering.
If you wish to support the program come out and fence with us knowing that your registration fees will be going to provide the sport of fencing to the very deserving kids in the Leisure access program.
The Miami Fencing Club announces the Miami Madness Tournament for 2009.
PREREGISTER. You must register in advance with ASKFRED. We encourage you to pay in advance with FRED but you may pay at the venue. Preregistered fees $20.00 for first event, $15.00 for each subsequent event. ON SITE registration fees $60.00 for first event, $30.00 for every subsequent event. All fencers must be current USFA Members. USFA Membership available at the venue. Fencers must report to the bout committee at least an hour before their scheduled event(s). Full electric equipment is required including two (2) working weapons, two (2) working body cords, and appropriate lames for foil and saber. Masks will be punch tested according to USFA regulations. Non conforming masks will be confiscated and rendered visibly unusable as provided by USFA regulations. A bout committee has been constituted. All applicable USFA regulations will be strictly enforced. You MUST arrive at least thirty minutes prior to your first scheduled event for check in and armoury equipment check.
