FRED Announces the Regional Youth Circuit - Dallas 2008 Cutting Edge Fencing Club and Fencing Institute of Texas ------------------ Important Info: ------------------- Tournament: Regional Youth Circuit - Dallas 2008 Date(s): 01/12/2008 - 01/13/2008 Location: Fencing Institute of Texas Birth Years: * Y10– 1997-2000 * Y12 - 1995-1998 * Y14 - 1993-1996 ** or fencer must be on NRP list for the next lower age group FORMAT: One round of pools and 100% up to DE's. Men's and Women's events will be fenced separately if there are more than 6 competitors of each gender for that event, otherwise a single Mixed event will be held. Awards will be given for men and women even if the event is fenced Mixed. VENUE: Fencing Institute of Texas, Inc. 11482 Luna Road, Suite 100 Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 (972) 444-8498 FEES: $20 per event if fencers pre-register by 10 PM January 9, 2008 $30 per event if fencers register after 10 PM January 9,2008 Equipment Check will be conducted. The Armory will be open FRIDAY evening, January 11th, from 6-9PM Fencers must be USFA members. All fencing rules and regulations shall be enforced. "There are no national points awarded at Regional Youth competitions. Participation in these competitions is required to qualify for both the Y10/Y12 Competitions at Summer National Championships and Y10/Y12 events at the NAC Y10 and Y12 tournaments." [USFA Athlete's Handbook] A signed North Texas Division waiver is required.
