2011-2012 Arizona Division JO Qualifiers

Arizona Division Junior Olympics Qualifiers Fencers must be COMPETITIVE MEMBERS OF THE ARIZONA DIVISION. BRING PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP or you will not fence. One day memberships are NOT valid for qualifiers. Membership forms will be available at the tournament or may be downloaded from the USFA website. If proof of membership is unavailable fencers will be required to submit a new membership application form with payment at the door -- no exceptions. Fencers must have all required equipment and fencing attire meeting USFA rules. Masks and all body/mask cords will be checked prior to an event. Weapons are checked (weights and shims) during pools and direct eliminations for all events. Registration: $20 per event if pre-registered on AskFred. At the door registration fee is $30 per event if not pre-registered online. Checks and Money orders should be made out to Arizona Division USFA. **REGULAR FEE REGISTRATION DEADLINE is December 15th, 2011. Eligible Birth years: JUNIOR (U20): 1992-1998 or have National Cadet points CADET (U17): 1995-1998 or have National Y14 points Junior fencers who qualify for Junior are auto-qualified for Cadet events if they are born in the year 1995 or later. Events will start 15 minutes after the close of check-in. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE EVENT HAS STARTED.

Fence offs to break ties will only be done if needed. We will not fence an event if 3 or fewer fencers are signed up. Fencers will be placed according to their classification, following that, alphabetically. Per USFA guidelines, you must still pay registration and event fees. Ratings will used from the USA Fencing website as of Friday, Dec 16th, 2011. Any ratings earned after that or not reported to the national office will not be used. Preregistration opens on 11/29/2011. Preregistration closes on 12/15/2011.
