REFEREE SEMINAR with Russ Wilson 2024

Fencers, parents, referees, and those interested in becoming referees. Russ Wilson will be giving an official Fencing Commission seminar. This seminar is one of the four prerequisites to becoming a nationally rated referee. Active referees will find this to be an invaluable in-service clinic to keep current with the latest of rules and right of way.

The seminar is particularly important considering the new trend toward attack in preparation in foil fencing.

Russ will explain and demonstrate the current interpretation of this action for the current and upcoming fencing season. This information is crucial to avoid the frustration and competitive costs of misunderstanding this fundamental concept. The interpretation of this action has changed this season. Don’t be left behind!

The seminar will help parents understand fencing and will explain proper and inappropriate interaction between referees and all other parties.

Russ Wilson is the only AAA referee in the world and has refereed in the finals of both foil and saber at the Olympic Games.

When? The seminar will be on April 23, 2024, held for the mandatory six hours from 2 P.M. to 10 P.M.

How much? The fee is $100 per person and $50 for each additional family members and college students.
