BCAF Y-10/Y-12 Foil

This is a Philadelphia Division event. Hired referees; fully air conditioned venue. Entry fee $25 if preregistered by 5/26/09. Late entry fee $35 for registrations after 5/26/09. Check-in closes at 10:00 a.m. USFA Birth Year Eligibility: Y-12: 1996-1999 Y-10: 1998-2001 Events will be combined unless there are 6 or more fencers in each age group, in which case the events will be fenced concurrently. Fencers may not fence both events, but must choose one if they are age-eligible for both. All fencers are expected to wear the required fencing attire and bring at least two weapons and body cords that meet USFA requirements. There are no exceptions to the attire and equipment rules. You must have a valid USFA membership or join the USFA at the event. Directions can be found on http://www.bcaf.com. Doors open one hour before close of check-in. Free parking!! That depends on how many people show up, what format we use to run the event, and how far the individual fencer advances within the event. Both the format and the time estimates will be announced at the start of the tournament. Q. What should I/my fencer bring? A. All fencing equipment, including plastron (underarm protector). A USFA card (or money to join - $50 for one year). Entry fees. A water bottle. Pizza will be available for purchase as well as substantial snack food & beverages.
