2008 Plains Texas Junior Olympic Qualifiers

PLAINS TEXAS DIVISION JUNIOR OLYMPICS QUALIFICATION TOURNAMENT This is the official Plains Texas Division Qualification Tournament for the USFA Junior Olympic Championships to be held on February 13 - 16, 2009, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Unless you are an automatic qualifier through national point standings, all competitors at the Junior Olympics must qualify through their local division qualification tournament. DATE December 6, 2008 LOCATION Amarillo College Fencing Salle (Russell Hall, Room 104) on the Washington Street campus of Amarillo College. COST $10 registration fee plus $5 per event SPECIAL NOTICE You must be born in the years 1989 to 1995 to compete in JUNIOR competitions. You must be born in the years 1992 to 1995 to compete in CADET competitions. EVENTS SCHEDULED Close of Registration for the following events is Saturday, 12/6/08 at 9:00 a.m. Junior (U20) Men's Foil Junior (U20) Men's Saber Junior (U20) Men's Epee Junior (U20) Women's Foil Junior (U20) Women's Epee Junior (U20) Women's Saber After check-in, all fencers will be told the starting times of the respective Junior events, depending on the number of entries. Close of Registration for the following events is Saturday, 12/6/07 at 1:00 p.m. Cadet (U17) Men's Foil Cadet (U17) Men's Epee Cadet (U17) Men's Saber Cadet (U17) Women's Foil Cadet (U17) Women's Epee Cadet (U17) Women's Saber After check-in, all fencers will be told the starting times of the respective Cadet events, depending on the number of entries. SPECIAL NOTE: If there are a large number of pre-registrations on Ask FRED, it is possible that the tournament will be extended to Sunday, December 7, 2008. Preregistration opens on 11/02/2008. Preregistration closes on 12/05/2008.
