BHFC “Pisté off” Unrated Sabre Event *DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS THIS TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD AT GOVERNOR LIVINGSTON HIGH SCHOOL. VENUE: Governor Livingston HS, 175 Watchung Blvd, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922 WHO WE ARE: We are a newly formed club in Berkeley Heights. The Berkeley Heights Fencing Club was created as a local venue for fencers to acquire tournament experience and for local youth to experience what the sport of fencing is all about. Events Scheduled: Unrated Senior Women's Sabre; Check-in closes at 6:30 PM; Entry Fee is $35.00 Unrated Senior Men's Sabre; Check-in closes at 6:30 PM; Entry Fee is $35.00 Fee of $35 is for preregistration. Walk-ins are $45.00. All competitors at least 13-years-old on January 1, 2009. Our goal is to run two D-1 rated events and hand-out 8 shiny, new USFA ratings. See the USFA competition classification chart: http://askfred.net/Info/eventClass.php Format of both events: 100% of fencers promoted to a Direct Elimination table, which is fenced down to the winner. There is a no fence-off for third place. Medals awarded to 3rd place. Additional Information: - USFA membership is required. Competitors can join USFA at check-in. - Competitors must register and pay $35.00 online thru FRED's secure server. - Walk-in registration fee is NOW $35.00---LATE FEE WAVED - Check-in closes promptly at 6:30pm. - Fencing does not have access to the school until 6:00. Please do not enter the school before then. - Full uniform including knickers, long socks and plastron required. - Check your weapons; weights and shims will be used (epee and foil).
