This is the 3rd Annual event honoring Danny Bukantz,Champion Fencer, Olympic referee. Great Summer Nationals Warm-up. NJ Division-sanctioned and ratings can be awarded.
Valid USFA membership is required. You MUST show your USFA card or have proof that payment has been made. You may join at the door (parent signature required for fencers under age 18),however please arrive with a completed form or plan to come early to complete required paperwork. Please have separate checks made out to USFA or use your credit card (preferred) for your USFA membership payment.
All fencers must meet USFA birth year requirements. Fencers must be at least 13 years old (born 1995 or before), or be on the National Junior Points List (if your entry is rejected for age, notify us and we will handle your entry)
All fencers must wear required fencing attire and bring at least 2 working weapons and 2 working body cords.
** Liability waiver - Upon entering this tournament you agree to abide by the current rules of the USFA and other applicable rules instituted by NJFA. You acknowledge you are entering this tournament at your own risk and release the USFA and its sponsors, NJFA, and referees from any liability. With entry you give consent to NJFA to obtain medical care from any licensed physician, hospital or clinic for any injury or illness that may arise during activities associated with this tournament. **
FEES
On-line: $35 if preregistered and paid through FRED
At-door: $40 if preregistered with payment at the door
Walk-in: $50 if walk-in without preregistration.
Payments made at the door must be in cash or check only. CREDIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Refund requests must be received at least 2 days prior to the event.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Events will be mixed if less than 6 fencers. Only official USFA ratings will be used for initial seeding. One round of pools with 100% promotion to Direct Elimination rounds. No fence-off for third place; medals awarded to 3rd place. Fencers are responsible for ensuring accuracy of all posted information and must report errors to the bout committee immediately. Fencer signature on pool score sheets and DE bout slip implies accuracy.
LOCATION
New Jersey Fencing Alliance is located at 50-58 Burnett Avenue (use 54 Burnett Avenue for Mapquest); Maplewood, NJ. NJFA is conveniently located near all major highways in NJ, NY, CT, and Pennsylvania NJFA is only 1.5 miles from the Maplewood Train Station.
NJFA is a state-of-the art 17,000 sf fencing salle offering 18 grounded metal strips with machines located in the middle as well as repeater lights at each end. FREE Wireless Internet service as well as FREE parking.
