Revenge of the Epsilons: E & Under, Y12 and Novice

AFAD is hosting an E & Under tournament to hopefully start 3 fencers off in the next fencing season with a D rating! We only need 15 in each of the 3 E & Under events to award a D. We are also hosting a Novice foil event for anyone who has fenced for less than 2 years. This event is fenced dry. AFAD is also going to set precedent to always host a Y12 event at all tournaments from now on! This event will follow all rules of a USFA sanctioned youth event. Fencers must be below the age of 13. A fencer who is 13 or older may fence in the Novice event, but not the Y12. Fencers may use a 3 or 5 blade. Direct eliminations are only fenced to 10 touches. This event is fenced electric. Equipment rental available. The E & Under event is USFA sanctioned and will require a membership (forms available at tournament). The novice and youth events will not require USFA membership, but participants must sign a waiver. Events Scheduled: E & Under Mixed Epee at 2:30 E & Under Mixed Foil at 9:30 Unrated Mixed Novice Foil at 3:00 E & Under Mixed Saber at 12:30 Unrated Y12 Mixed Youth Event Foil at 9:30 Registration fee is $15 for first event, $10 for each additional. AFAD members get $5 off each event. Registration fees are waived for fencers who attended the camp! Fencing will take place in the main gym; please do not scratch the floor. Preregistration opens on 06/04/2008. Preregistration closes on 08/08/2008.
