Halberstadt Fencers’ Club is bringing back an ancient tradition with the revival of the Halberstadt Sabre Challenge which dates back decades. First-place winners in each category will receive a trophy sword provided by American Fencers Supply.

Halberstadt Fencers’ Club is bringing back an ancient tradition with the revival of the Halberstadt Sabre Challenge, which dates back decades. Of course, we’ve changed with the times, what with registration now being available on AskFred and all. Come join us in the heart of beautiful San Francisco, at what is sure to be high-quality tournament that will get you in top competitive shape just in time for Summer Nationals in San Jose. The event features top-quality refereeing, with the lineup of directors including World Cup referee Tomek Amborski and Olympian Derek Cotton. First-place winners in each category will receive a special trophy sword provided by American Fencers Supply (AFS), our official tournament sponsor. Equipment from AFS will be available for purchase at Halberstadt on the day of the tournament. DISCOUNT ENTRY FEE UNTIL 5/16. Fee will change from $35 to $45 after the cut off date. Events Scheduled: Women's Sabre - 10 AM Men's Sabre - 2 PM USFA Category A referee and former Olympian Derek Cotton will be leading a hands-on, practical refereeing clinic on June 7ththe evening before this tournament.
