2023 SPA Invitational

Located at the Randolph Saint Paul Academy Campus (NOT the Goodrich campus!). Parking is available across from the Huss Center. This is a NON-sanctioned MN HS meet, USA Fencing membership not required. Grades 7-12 only. Entry fee is $30 if preregister. $60 for WALK-ON REGISTRATIONS. Registration closes midnight 1/11/23. We accept cash and check written to SPA, but NOT credit card, and there is NO ATM on site, so please plan accordingly. You do not need to be a high school student in Minnesota to compete. Please make sure you are registering under the correct AskFRED-listed high school team or club. Check with your coach if you are not sure which one is yours. In addition, make sure the email listed on your Askfred account is current and checked regularly. Please note that the Minnesota HS Coaches' Association (MHSCA) requires 800 NW gloves for sabre and padded chest protectors for women's foil, and if men’s foilists wear optional chest protectors those must be padded as wellas per USA Fencing regulations. IMPORTANT: We follow USFA COVID protocols: Individuals are no longer required to show proof of vaccination to compete in or attend USA Fencing national tournaments. As the pandemic continues to evolve, we encourage members to receive vaccines and updated boosters and to wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. https://www.usafencing.org/news_article/show/1245835 Quarantine policy—If you test positive for COVID, do not attend any competitions until you are fever free for 5 days. If you have a fever, do not attend any competitions. This tournament is entirely TREE NUT-FREE. Do not bring any form of tree nut to the tournament (peanuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, almonds, etc). Please remember this when packing snacks for the day. Weather: We will monitor the weather forecast leading up to the event, and if necessary, we may choose to delay event start times. All changes will be updated here and communicated via email. Accessibility: There is ramp and elevator access to the gymnasium, however the gymnasium floor will be covered in a variety of wires and fencing equipment.
