Saturday, March 29, 2008 7:30 - 8:30 am - Men's Épée 10:30 - 11:30 am - Women's Foil 1:30 - 2:30 pm - Men's Sabre 2:30 - 3:30 pm - Div III (D and Under) Mixed Foil - (Not a SSCC event) Sunday, March 30, 2008 7:30 - 8:30 am - Men's Foil 10:30 - 11:30 am - Women's Sabre 1:30 - 2:30 pm - Women's Épée 2:30 - 3:30 pm - Div III (D and Under) Mixed Épée - (Not a SSCC event) EVENT FEES: Cost: Pre-payment is required for pre-registration. Now through midnight March 10th - registration is $35.00 + $20.00 per event. At 12:01 am March 11th, all fees double to $70.00 + $40.00 per event. At 12:01 am March 29th - On-site registration is $105.00 + $60.00 per event. Full refunds* made before March 10th, 50% refunds* made from 3/11/08 - 3/25/08. No refunds given after 3/25/08. *$20 is nonrefundable for all entries. To help our tournament run more smoothly, pre-registration is strongly encouraged. SIGNED WAIVER REQUIRED All fencers must sign a waiver/informed consent form. Those fencers under the age of 18 must have a parent or LEGAL guardian sign the form. No one will be allowed to fence without this completed form. USFA rules apply. Current competitive membership of the USFA required (membership will be available at the venue). You must be prepared to show proof of USFA membership or at the door, fill out a membership form and pay $50 - credit card or separate check - NO CASH. Persons under the age of 18 MUST have a parent's signature on this form. PRE-REGISTRATION INFORMATION: PRE-PAYMENT is required for pre-registration. Fencers may pre-register on line with a credit card on AskFred.net. If you pre-register on askFRED, please print off the WAIVER, which is found at the bottom of the mail in form, and bring it signed with you to check-in at the Oz. You may also pre-register by mail by printing a copy of the 2008 Oz Parsons Entry Form at http://www.almdiv.org/oz08.pdf and mailing that form which has been signed along with a check made payable to Redlands Fencing Center to: Janet Highfield, c/o Redlands Fencing Center, 8107 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. There will be a $20.00 charge on all returned checks. Because discounts do expire, a request for confirmation is wise. With your confirmation request, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with mail in registration, a return fax number, or a preferred email address if different from the one on askFRED. If you have difficulty with your pre-registration, please email the organizers and we will take care of it for you. AGE CATEGORIES: Entry in all events is open to all current USFA competitive members or foreign fencers holding a current FIE card, provided they have a birth year of 1994 or earlier for the 2007-2008 season or are on the Junior points list in the weapon they wish to compete. EQUIPMENT POLICIES: Events will all be fenced electrically. Equipment checks will consist of masks, body cords and lamés. Sabre cuffs and underarm protectors are REQUIRED. TOURNAMENT FORMAT: All SSCC events will be run with one round of pools being fenced; 100% promotion to a single elimination bracket of 15 touch bouts except as provided for in the SSCC Ops Manual. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placemnts will be posted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying the posted lists, and signing their pool and DE sheets. INFORMATION ON AWARDS: As part of their award from last season's SSCC events for being in the top three point holders in their event, these fencers have free entry to all SSCC events this season.
