If your question is not answered, please contact the organizers and we will be happy to help you. USFA Membership Fencers must be a current competitive USFA or FIE Member. Proof of membership is required. All fencers who begin the registration process on FRED will receive membership status information via askFRED email using most current USFA membership data. Membership forms are available here: http://www.almdiv.org/BusinessDivision/MEMBERSHIPS/2007-2008membershipform.pdf While fencers are encouraged to get memberships directly through the USFA prior to the competition, completed USFA membership forms will be accepted at the door. If you do not have proof of membership, you will be required to complete and pay for a membership. Payment for memberships is made directly to the USFA * NO CASH * bring separate check or credit card number (preferred) for membership. Fencers under 18 years old are reminded they need the signature of a parent or guardian (not a coach) on BOTH the membership and waiver forms. INFORMED CONSENT/WAIVER FORMS: The Waiver of Liability/Informed Consent is required to be filled out and signed. Parent signature needed for minors. It can be downloaded from http://www.almdiv.org/Operations/WAIVERS/waiverconsent.pdf A parent signature is mandatory on both the USFA membership form and the waiver/informed consent. Birth year limitations (2007-2008 season) : Senior Men's and Women's events: 1994 or before, or on Junior National Rolling Points List Veteran events: 1967 or before. EQUIPMENT POLICIES: Events will all be fenced electrically. Equipment checks will consist of masks, body cords and lamés. Sabre cuffs and underarm protectors are REQUIRED including plastrons for female fencers. USFA Rules. TOURNAMENT SHIRTS This year, tournament shirts are being offered for pre-order in Black or Forest Green, Short-Sleeved ($15.00) or Long-Sleeved ($20.00). Please pre-order by February 8th to guarantee your color choice! Shirts will also be for sale at the tournament. *Finalist (top 4) t-shirts this year will be Dark Charcoal Grey. TOURNAMENT FORMAT: All SSCC events will be run with one round of pools being fenced; 100% promotion to a single elimination bracket of 15 touch bouts except as provided for in the SSCC Ops Manual. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placemnts will be posted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying the posted lists, and signing their pool and DE sheets. INFORMATION ON SSCC AWARDS: As part of their award from last season's SSCC events for being in the top three point holders in their event, these fencers have free entry to all SSCC events this season.
