NJFA Friday Night Div III Epee

Div 3 Epee - open to all fencers born 1994 or before with D, E, or no rating. Only Official USFA ratings will be used for initial seeding. This event is sanctioned by the NJ Division and ratings can be awarded. Free pizza included! Event will become mixed if less than 6 women fencers. ** Liability waiver - Upon entering this tournament you agree to abide by the current rules of the USFA and other applicable rules instituted by NJFA. You acknowledge you are entering this tournament at your own risk and release the USFA and its sponsors, NJFA, and referees from any liability. With entry you give consent to NJFA to obtain medical care from any licensed physician, hospital or clinic for any injury or illness that may arise during activities associated with this tournament. ** Valid USFA membership is required. You MUST show your USFA card or have proof that payment has been made. You may join at the door (parent signature required for fencers under age 18),however please arrive with a completed form or plan to come early to complete required paperwork. Please have separate checks made out to USFA or use your credit card for your USFA membership payment. All fencers must meet USFA birth year requirements. Fencers must be at least 13 years old (born 1994 or before) as of January 1 of the fencing season. All fencers must wear required fencing attire and bring at least 2 working weapons and 2 working body cords. FEES $30 if preregistered and paid through FRED. $35 if preregistered and pay at the door. $40 if walk-in without preregistration. Payments made at the door must be in cash or check only. CREDIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. TOURNAMENT FORMAT One round of pools with 100% promotion to Direct Elimination rounds. No fence-off for third place; two third place medals awarded. LOCATION New Jersey Fencing Alliance is located at 50-58 Burnett Avenue (use 54 Burnett Avenue for Mapquest); Maplewood, NJ. NJFA is conveniently located near all major highways in NJ, NY, CT, and Pennsylvania. NJFA is only 1.5 miles from the Maplewood Train Station (NJ Transit). NJFA is a state-of-the art 17,000 sf fencing salle offering 18 grounded metal strips with machines located in the middle as well as repeater lights at each end, FREE wireless Internet service,as well as 230 on-site FREE parking spaces.
