Sacramento HEMA Open

Announcing the Sacramento HEMA Open on August 17th! This open event includes a Rapier/Sidesword tournament in the morning and a Longsword tournament in the afternoon. 100% of the participant fees from this event will be used to acquire HEMA-related books for the Sacramento Public Library - we want the literary side of these martial traditions available to everyone (and we're big fans of the Sac Library!). The Sacramento HEMA Open is co-sponsored by the Sacramento Sword School and the Sacramento Frei Fechter. Location: Sacramento Turn Verein Gymnasium (3349 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816 - parking and gym entrance are on I Street between 33rd and 35th) Date and Time: Sunday, August 17th, 9:00 AM Registration Fee: $20 (this is per participant - at signup you can choose to fight in either or both tournaments) Tournaments: Rapier/Sidesword in the morning, Longsword in the afternoon.
