DATE October 28, 2006 EVENTS SCHEDULED Fencers Born 1990 - 1993 Cadet (U17) Mixed Epee - 12:00 noon Cadet (U17) Mixed Foil - 8:30 a.m. Cadet (U17) Mixed Saber - 2:00 p.m. Fencers born 1992 - 1995 Y14 Mixed Epee - 1:30 p.m. Y14 Mixed Foil - 10:00 a.m. Y14 Mixed Saber - 3:00 p.m. Fencers Born 1994 - 1999 Y12 & Y10 Mixed combined Epee - 12:00 noon Y12 & Y10 Mixed combined Foil - 8:30 a.m. Y12 & Y10 Mixed combined Saber - 2:00 p.m. Times listed are Close of Registration. Competition will start as soon as possible after registration closes and as other events allow. SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT Y10 & Y12 AGE GROUPS: If we have enough interest through pre-registrations two weeks before the tournament, we will have separate competitions for Y10 and Y12. We will notify all fencers if this change is made by email. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LOCATION OF THE TOURNAMENT HAS CHANGED! Amarillo College Fencing Salle Russell Hall, Room 104 Washington Street Campus Amarillo, TX The venue was changed due to the relatively small number of fencers who have pre-registered for the tournament from clubs other than AC Fencing Association. The venue is much smaller now but it will be more convenient to hotels, restaurants and the homes of the fencers. DIRECTIONS TO VENUE The AC Fencing Salle is located in Russell Hall on the northeast corner of 24th and Washington in Amarillo, Texas. COST $5 Tournament Registration Fee If pre-registered on Ask Fred. $10 Tournament Registration Fee If NOT pre-registered on Ask Fred $5 for each Event USFA RULES All USFA rules will be enforced in the tournament. Please bring proof of USFA membership or you will not be allowed to compete. New USFA membership applications will be available at the tournament. COMPETITION FORMAT Standard USFA pool format with 100 percent advancing to direct elimination, with no repechage. AWARDS Medals will be awarded to the top 4 male and female fencers in each event. ARMORER The tournament will have an armorer to check fencing equipment before each competition and to assist with equipment problems during the tournament. HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS There are many hotels in the Amarillo area that will fit your budget. Since we are currently unable to guarantee a certain number of rooms, we do not have a special rate arranged at any specific hotel.
