TN Secondary School Fencing Championships

Fencers currently attending school in grades 6-12 in Tennessee, please consider yourself invited to the 2014 TN Secondary School Fencing Championships! ***** Fees $15.00 per event ***** Venue The Baylor School Field House 171 Baylor School Road Chattanooga, TN 37405 ***** Pre-registration closes on 03/15/2014. Only pre-registered entries will be accepted; late pre-registration will not be allowed, and entries will not be allowed at the door. ***** Event Closing Times Foil: 8:00AM Epee: 11:00AM Sabre: 11:00AM ***** Representation of the participating fencers/teams will be: 1) Traditional Students: The Tennessee secondary school you are currently attending 2) Non-Traditional Students (homeschool): The Tennessee homeschool association you are currently attending/registered with: a) Local school district (independent homeschool) b) Church/Umbrella group c) Accredited online school USA Fencing club affiliation is not a consideration. ***** The individual championship will be conducted in the normal USA Fencing tournament format (pools followed by 15-touch elimination bouts). The team championship format is to be determined; however, regardless of format, scholastically mixed teams (multiple schools, multiple non-traditional groups, combined traditional/non-traditional students, etc) will not be allowed. ***** USA Fencing membership is NOT required; however, all USA Fencing rules and equipment requirements/regulations will be observed, including the conductive bib (required at foil, not allowed at epee). USA Fencing ratings can NOT be awarded based on the results of this event. ***** In order to participate the following waiver information below MUST be completed and turned in at check-in; the waiver will also be available at the venue. ***** WAIVER ***** ALL ENTRANTS MUST READ AND SIGN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS: (Entrants under age 18 must have parent or legal guardian sign) 1) Waiver of liability: Upon entering this tournament I agree to abide by the current rules of USA Fencing.
