Texas' only annually held women's fencing tournament, is dedicated to Neomia M. Abbott (January 5, 1922 - January 10, 2005). As is our tradition, first place in each senior event wins a string of pearls. Format One round of pools. 100% advance to direct elimination rounds. *Novice The novice event is a non-USFA training event restricted to fencers who have been fencing less than one year (in any and all weapons). USFA non-competitive ($5.00) membership is required. Format will be a round of pools with 100% advancement to direct elimination rounds. Equipment All weapons will be scored electrically. Equipment (masks, lames, and electric cords) will be inspected and marked. USFA Membership Current competitive membership of the USFA required (except for Novice events). Membership forms will be available at the venue. If your membership is not pre-validated, you must be prepared to show proof of USFA membership, or at the door, fill out a membership form and pay $60 - check or credit card. Persons under age 18 MUST have a parent's signature on the USFA form.
