**IMPORTANT UPDATE – July 29**: Interest in this year’s Keystone State Games has been unprecedented, and many fencers have inquired about events filling up and the waiting list protocol. Upon review, the tournament organizers have made the decision to UNCAP ALL EVENTS and, as a result, REGISTRATION HAS BEEN RE-OPENED. If you were unable to register for an event because it was full, but would still like to come, you may now register before midnight Friday without penalty. Pre-registration will close at midnight Friday. If you already registered successfully, no further action is needed. Since events are uncapped, there will be no waiting lists. *** Absolute Fencing Gear will be at this event both days selling fencing gear!! FEES: $30 first event if pre-registered on AskFred. $15 additional event(s) if pre-registered on AskFred. $50 first event if registering at the tournament as a walk on. $15 to register for additional events at the tournament, space permitting (i.e., events for which you are not pre-registered). This is a USFA sanctioned event. It is highly recommended that all competitors be members of the USFA for the 2013-2014 season at the time of pre-registering on AskFred. NEW THIS YEAR: The mixed vet events are now Men's and Women's events pending each Women's vet event has a minimim of 15 participants. If not, the Women's event will be combined with the corresponding Men's event to create a Mixed event. However, in this circumstance, men and women will be medal separately. USFA conductive bib rules for foil will be enforced. Rules concerning the conductive bib on the foil mask can be found in the current USFA rulebook t.471.2 USFA competitions must strictly enforce the epee wiring rules beginning Aug. 1. Wires may no longer be threaded through the channel in the socket. (If the inspection mark is placed on the bib, be sure not to change out your inspection mark!) *Anyone participating in a foil event will also need 2 mask cords. 2013-14 USFA Age Classifications: • Youth-14: 1999-2002 • Junior (U-20): 1994-2000 • Open: 2000 or earlier • Veteran: 1973 or earlier This year, the Keystone State Games are hosting/known as the State Games of America!
