Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. Mask, lames and body cords will be checked before events. Weapons will be checked on the strips by referees. Short (size #0, #2) blades for Y10 events required. Electric Foil Bibs required. USFA Membership - USFA rules will be enforced. All fencers must be current members of the USFA . Proof of USFA membership is either an unexpired membership card, an email from the USFA or listing on the USFA website. Membership forms will be available at the tournament or may be downloaded from the USFA website. If proof of membership is unavailable fencers will be required to submit a new membership application form with payment at the door. No exceptions. The USFA is working towards an age verification process. This season, parents should come prepared with ONE of the following in case the fencer's age needs verification for eligibility purposes: A government issued photo ID with date of birth included A copy of birth certificate Participation at an RYC qualifies fencers for Y10/Y12 events at the January & April NACs as well as Summer Nationals. The winners of the Y14 events qualify for Y14 events at Summer Nationals. Eligible Birth years: Y10: 2002-2005 Y12: 2000-2003 or Y10 NRPS Y14: 1998-2001 or Y12 NRPS If there are less than 6 individuals entered, events will be combined in appropriate categories. Awards will be given for the top men's and women's finishers. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Refunds are processed 2-4 weeks following the tournament. **************** If your preregistration is being rejected for age, but you are currently listed on the National Rolling Points for the next lower age, please contact MDelevorya@aol.com. Since this is a qualifier event, we are unable to make exceptions to the age eligibility rules. ****NOTE**** At least 2 athletes must compete (have fenced) in a given RYC age/weapon event to fulfill eligibility requirements for the Y10 and/or Y12 NAC or for a first place finish to result in qualification to the Y14 Summer National Championships. Event results submitted with only 1 participant listed will not result in the athlete fulfilling qualification requirement. ************* Tournament Format: All events will include a minimum of 1 round of pools.
