THE TWELFTH ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR LOUISIANA is presented by Caddo Bossier Foundation for Sword Sports and is limited to middle or high school students (born 1999 or earlier) who reside or attend school in Louisiana. Because of this limitation by geographic border and age, the event is USFA sanctioned but not rated.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
PLEASE NOTE The time IN BOLD is the CLOSE of that event. The event may START IMMEDIATELY or up at an hour later. NO ONE IS ADMITTED AFTER THE CLOSING TIME. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in and equipment control. You may be able to get your equipment checked on Friday for Saturday events or Saturday for Sunday events.

You will be required to answer a series of questions during the online registration process.
*It is important to let us know your school and the year you should graduate high school. Please fill in the school and select the appropriate class in the pull down menu.
*If you want a poster, it will be $3.00. The printing for these posters are over $3.00 a piece. Please check "yes" or "true" if you want a poster.
*If you have never won (1st place) a state champion event, you do not qualify for the former champ events, so please select "no" or "false"
*If you wish to register a team, do it SEPARATELY from your registration (have the coach do it) and selected "yes" or "true". It is free, but the $25 fee will appear during the process.
*Please acknowledge that you do or do not understand that your parent signature must be on BOTH the waiver/release and the USFA membership form (if you are not a member yet).
FEES
Before SATURDAY, September 8th - $25 registration and $15 per event
ON SATURDAY, September 8th - $50 registration and $15 per event
AT THE DOOR fees begin on WEDNESDAY, September 26th. - $75 registration and $15 per event
PLEASE PRE-REGISTER.
Pre-PAY is required and fees are calculated at time of payment.
FORMER CHAMPS and TEAMS FENCE EXHIBITIONS FREE**
(however, if you are also a current student, you will be required to pay registration and event fee for your regular 2012-2013 championship events)
Format:
One round of pools with 100% promotion to simple direct elimination. No ties broken for 3rd place.

USFA MEMBERSHPS:
Current competitive USFA Membership is required. Memberships are available at the door. Membership AND informed consent forms for minors require the signature of a parent or legal guardian, the coach may not sign.
Receipts from clubs or other tournaments are not an acceptable verification of membership, as there is no guarantee that these membership forms have been submitted. Membership and informed consent forms will be available at the venue. Payment for memberships is made directly to the USFA (bring separate checks for the tournament and membership).
You are STRONGLY advised to have your membership card already in your possession before the tournament. Also you are STRONGLY advised that if you have not become a member 3 weeks prior to the event, please just do it at the door, as your card will not have processed that quickly.
Fencers are responsible for verifying information on all posted lists both prior to and during fencing. Bring all discrepancies to the bout committee EARLY.
Fencers are required to fence in proper fencing attire; current USFA rules will apply. This includes proper conductive bibs for all foil masks.
Equipment testing includes mask, lame, sabre glove, and cords. Please come early to ensure enough time to have equipment checked, and in the case of failure, enough time to find substitute equipment.
