Venue Houston Athletic Fencing Center 4997 W. Bellfort Houston, TX 77035 Events Scheduled: Saturday June 16. 2012 9:00am.......C & Under Mixed Epee 9:00am.......Mixed Novice Foil Cancelled....C & Under Mixed Foil Cancelled....Mixed Novice Epee Cancelled....Senior Mixed Epee Cancelled....Senior Mixed Foil Cancelled....Senior Mixed Saber Novice events will be divided by age groups. Events with fewer than 6 preregistrants will be cancelled at least one week prior to the close of registration. Fees Registration: $20 Event: $10 FORMAT INFORMATION One round of 5-touch/3 minute bout pools. 100% advance to 15-touch direct elimination rounds.  Format of Novice events will be decided at the venue. EQUIPMENT All weapons will be scored electrically. Equipment (masks, lames, and electric cords) will be inspected and marked. USFA Membership Current competitive membership of the USFA required (except for Novice events). Membership forms will be available at the venue. If your membership is not pre-validated, you must be prepared to show proof of USFA membership, or at the door, fill out a membership form and pay $60 - check or credit card. Persons under age 18 MUST have a parent's signature on the USFA form. Novice Event Eligibility The Novice events of this tournament do not require USFA membership.  Participants must be at least old enough to enter a USFA Y10 event (i.e., born in 2004 or earlier).  Participants must not have been fencing for longer than one year, neither in the weapon in which they are competing nor in either of the other two fencing weapons. Waiver of Liability ***All participants must sign a Waiver of Liability form which can be found on the Gulf Coast Division Website. Fencers under age 18 must have a parent's signature on this form.
