**Annual Membership Meeting will take place after fencing on Saturday, May 5, 2012**
Due to recent board action making Cadet events at Summer Nationals open registration, CADET qualifier events will not be fenced.

For refund of event fee(s), notice of withdrawal must be received by the Division Secretary by May 2nd. Registration fees are nonrefundable except in circumstances of extreme duress. Event fee refunds will be processed after the tournament.

AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR DIVISION/SECTION/SUMMER NATIONAL QUALIFYIER
Div 2/3 - 1998 (or earlier)
Y14 - 1997-2000*
Y10 - 2001-2004
(*or on NRPS for the next younger age bracket)
Format and tournament details (The Fine Print)
All individual events will be 1 round of pools with 100% promoted to a single elimination DE tableau.
Awards given to top 4 for Div 2/3 and top 2 for U16 and Y14
Original seeding will be based on classification (e.g., B09, C07, etc.). Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue. Third place bout will be fenced.
Division patches are awarded for non-contested individual qualifiers, but no other awards will be given. Division patches are not given to team qualifiers.
All fencers must be current competitive members of the USFA and citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Fencers may join the USFA at the door. Please bring your completed USFA membership form and signed waiver with you. USFA cards must be presented at check-in if you do not appear on or if your classification is different from the Current Members List located online here:http://www.almdiv.org/BusinessDivision/MEMBERSHIPS/currentmembership.htm .
Fencers under 18 must have any new membership form and a waiver signed by parents. Waiver may be downloaded from the ALM website and signed by parents prior to the tournament. (http://almdiv.org/Operations/WAIVERS/waiverconsent.pdf) Coaches signature is not valid and will NOT be accepted.
There are NO alternates for any competition at the USFA Summer Nationals Championship tournament.
Classifications can be awarded at a Division/Section Summer Nationals qualifying. Cadet and Y14 events must be C1 or greater for a classification to be awarded.
An athlete is permitted to fence in the qualifying competitions of the Division/Section reflected in his/her current USFA membership only IF:
1) The athlete is a U.S. citizen OR permanent resident of the United States and a current competitive member of the USFA And
2) The athlete's birth year falls in that age bracket OR
3) The athlete is on the national rolling point standings in the next younger age bracket
