There will be a foil & sabre tournament every month at the Rochester Fencing Club during the 2011-2012 season. Entry fee is $20. Intended for unrated fencers with one or more years of experience, e.g. RFC Level 1 & Level 2.
One or two rounds of pools (depending on number of participants) followed by direct elimination rounds. Bouts in the direct elimination round are 8 touchs with two 2-minute periods. Fence off for every place.
A LOT OF FENCING!
Points for placing in these events will be awarded as follows:
- 1st place = 15 points
- 2nd place = 14 points
- 3rd place = 13 points
- etc.
(If there are fewer than 16 participants, subtract 5 points for each place.)
You can earn prizes and galaxy-wide bragging rights by compiling big point totals.
Preregistration opens on 9/11/2011.
Preregistration closes on 6/15/2012.
