The USFA WWD presents the 2010 Leon Auriol Open October 2-3, 2010 at Salle Auriol Seattle The Leon Auriol Open is a Western Washington tradition dating back to 1982. Founded by Maitre Leon Auriol himself, this event has consistently been attended by the best fencers in the Pacific Northwest. *** NOTE 9/30/10 *** The 8am Saturday close of registration for Women's Foil and Mixed Saber has been pushed back one hour to 9am. Arrive early to get your equipment checked! We will be running on a strict schedule so your promptness is appreciated. Depending on the total number of entrants in the mixed epee event, it is possible that we will need to do a cut after the pools. This will only be necessary if the event exceeds roughly 75 entrants. --- Registration Information --- Registration is $20 plus $30 per event entered and must be pre-paid. !!! IMPORTANT !!! The registration & payment deadline is 12 noon PDT on FRIDAY, October 1st. If you miss the deadline, you may be subject to DOUBLE fees. A: Yes, but you will pay double fees. Q: Can I pre-register and pay later? A: Yes. Pre-register on AskFRED like you normally would, but skip the payment screen. This will add you to the list of registrants, but note that you have not yet paid. You can pay later (before the deadline) by simply going through the registration process on AskFRED again. Q: I don't want to pre-pay until I'm certain I can attend. A: If you pre-pay and are unable to attend, we will give you a refund of your event fees. Registration fees are non-refundable. Q: How do I get a refund? A: Submit a refund request using the form on the WWD website (www.wwdfencing.org, use the "Forms" link at the top of the page.) Q: I don't want to pay online because I don't trust this internet thing. A: If you are uncomfortable paying online, please contact chair@wwdfencing.org for alternate payment options. Q: What's with this $0.99 fee AskFRED is charging? I hate fees! A: The WWD is covering this fee for you - notice that the registration amount is actually $19.01 so that you pay an even $20 when the fee is included. --- Venue Information --- The event will be held at: Salle Auriol Seattle 760 Harrison St. Seattle, WA 98109 (206) 623-8357 For directions, visit http://www.salleauriol.com --- Tournament Rules --- All fencers must be current competitive members of the USFA. You may join or renew your USFA membership at the door. Canadian fencers must be current CFF members. To verify USFA membership, we will check the membership list posted on the USFA website. If your name is not on that list, you will be required to fill out a new USFA membership form (with payment) at the venue (unless you provide proof of signing up prior to that.) Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. USFA rules require that all participants were born in 1997 or earlier. --- Equipment Check --- Please arrive early to allow time for equipment checks. We will be checking masks, lames, and bodycords.
