The USFA Western Washington Division presents
The 2010 Pacific Northwest Sectional Championships
March 6-7, 2010
at Rain City Fencing Center in Bellevue, WA
Join us in Seattle this year for the Pacifc Northwest Sectionals! This is the qualifier for Division I-A and Junior(U19) Summer Nationals and will be a strong event overall. Even if you do not plan on going to Nationals, this will be a great chance to fence new people from around the Northwest!
This event is only open to USFA members in the Western WA, Oregon, Alaska, Inland Empire, and Utah/S.Idaho divisions. All fencers must also be US citizens or permanent residents.

10:00 am - Senior Men's Saber & Senior Women's Saber
12:30 pm - Pacific NW Section Annual meeting
1:00 pm - Senior Men's Epee & Senior Women's Epee
Sunday, March 7, 2010:
8:30 am - Doors open
9:00 am - Senior Men's Foil & Senior Women's Foil
Noon - Junior Men's Epee & Junior Women's Epee
1:00 pm - Junior Men's Saber & Junior Women's Saber
All times are close of registration. Arrive early to get your equipment checked! We will be running on a strict schedule so your promptness is appreciated.
Fencers that wish to fence in two events on the same day must report to the strip when called or they may be scratched from the event. We will try to accommodate people as best we can, but we will not delay events if a fencer is still fencing in another event.
All events will be fenced as a single round of pools, followed by straight direct-elimination, no fence-off for third (unless necessary to determine qualification).

Registration fees will vary depending on when you make your payment:
Before February 27, 2010:
- $20 registration fee
- $20 per event
After February 27, 2010 (at 11:59pm PST):
- $40 registration fee
- $40 per event
All tournament fees must be pre-paid on AskFRED (*see note below). Registration fees are non-refundable. For refunds of event fees, contact treasurer@wwdfencing.org.

---------- Tournament Rules ----------
All fencers must be current competitive members of the USFA. You may join or renew your USFA membership at the door.
This event is only open to USFA members in the Western WA, Oregon, Alaska, Inland Empire, and Utah/S.Idaho divisions. All fencers must also be US citizens or permanent residents.
Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed.
Senior events are open to fencers born in 1996 and earlier.
Junior(U19) events are open to fencers born in 1991 thru 1997.
---------- Qualification Criteria ----------
In the Senior events, the top 25% (with a minimum of 8) that have not otherwise qualified will qualify for Division I-A. The winner of each Junior(U19) event automatically qualifies for Division I-A in that weapon.
Fencers that qualify for Division I-A will automatically qualify for Divsion II and Division III if they are classification-eligible.
In the Junior(U19) events, the top 25% (with a minimum of 3) that have not otherwise qualified will qualify for Junior(U19) events at Nationals.
Fencers that qualify for Junior(U19) will automatically qualify for Cadet(U16) and Youth-14 if they are age-eligible.
Veteran fencers that compete in the senior events will automatically qualify for the corresponding veteran event at Summer Nationals.

Please arrive early to allow time for equipment checks. We will be checking masks, lames, and bodycords.
