USFA New York State Fencing Championships

The format for all of the Senior Events is a round of mixed pools followed by a mixed direct elimination table and a women's direct elimination table. No extra fee is charged for participation in the womens table. Entry fee for all events is $35/event if preregistered by 8/6/10 for the Senior events, $40 at the door. Vet 50 events are for people age 50 and over. There are no separate Vet 60 or vet 70 events. You may fence in both Senior and Vet 50 events if you are age qualified for both. The events are open to all USFA Members. You do not have to be a New York State resident. Because this is not a point event, the new lame bibs will not be required for the Foil events this year. They will be required at NYS Champs in Aug 2012. All events require proof of valid USFA membership. The new membership year starts August 1, 2010. You may join at the tournament. Events Scheduled: Senior Women's Epee Senior Women's Foil Senior Women's Saber Senior Men's Epee Senior Men's Foil Senior Men's Saber Vet 50 Women's Epee Vet 50 Women's Foil Vet 50 Women's Saber Vet 50 Men's Epee Vet 50 Men's Foil Vet 50 Men's Saber Absolute Fencing Gear will be providing scoring equipment for the tournament and will have a table set up for all who would like to purchase gear on Saturday 8/6 and Sunday 8/7!
