RYC is a qualification path to Y10, Y12, and Y14 events at Summer Nationals. Due to Yom Kippur this event is split over two weekends, 9/27 and 10/5. Please check each date for specific weapons and age events.

$25 entry fee; $30 registration fee For athletes planning to fence both weekends due to ability to fence multiple age categories, please contact the organizer BEFORE online registration to avoid the possibility of two registration fees. Events will be mixed if less than 5 competitors in M/W events (i.e., Y10 M/W foil may be mixed). Mixed events will only occur within age category. Event times are approximate; they could change depending on number of entries. Preregistration closes on 09/14/2014. Regular online registration period runs through September, 14,2014 $30 Registration plus $25 per event From September 15, 2014 through September 21, 2014 DOUBLE FEES $60 registration plus $50 per event After September 21, 2014, no registration will be accepted through AskFRED. Furthermore, any registrations after this date are subject to a $200 surcharge, per the US Fencing RYC guidelines. Walkins are permitted at the triple fee rate ($90 + $75) and must have pertinent paperwork. We are not responsible for any inability to register on askfred. Fencers not registered by September 21 will pay late fees. There will be no exceptions for any reason. PLEASE NOTE registration without payment is considered a walkin. ***IF YOU HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED AND WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE OR ADD AN EVENT AFTER THE REGULAR DEADLINE, THIS CANNOT BE DONE THROUGH AskFRED. CONTACT merritt55@comcast.net TO MAKE CHANGES *** IN ORDER TO COMPETE YOU MUST CHECK-IN BEFORE THE LISTED DEADLINE WITH THE FOLLOWING: 1) a COMPETITIVE USA Fencing membership card (valid for the current competitive season); AND 2) the fencer is required to provide a fully-completed waiver form that has been signed by a parent or legal guardian; AND 3) the fencer is required to show a birth-certificate (copy acceptable) or other government-issued identification showing a birth date unless officially verified by USFA. To help us speed registration, please have all this paperwork ready at checkin. This is especially critical if the fencer does not have a parent/guardian accompanying them. No one will be allowed to fence without a signed waiver form. Athletes arriving without proof of USA Fencing membership must fill out all appropriate forms and pay for membership at registration even if already a member. Refund requests can later be made with USA Fencing as appropriate. REFUNDS - For refund of event fee(s), withdrawals must be received in writing no later than September 9, 2014. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Refunds will be processed no later than 4-6 weeks following the tournament. Event schedule times may be changed depending on entries. Equipment check will be open at 12:00 noon on 9/27. Equipment check will test the mask, lame jacket and foil mask bib, gloves and body cords. Masks that do not pass the 12-kg punch test will be impounded or given a visible mark to signify that the mask is "not approved for use." UNIFORMS REQUIREMENTS All USA Fencing uniform requirements apply. NAMES ARE NOT REQUIRED ON THE UNIFORM. AS OF AUGUST 1, 2012, CONDUCTIVE BIBS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL FOIL EVENTS EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS AND INSPECTIONS Y10 fencers must fence with weapons NO LONGER than 32.5 inches. All USFA equipment rules will be enforced.
