Evening fencing clinics at Duke University. We focus on technical and tactical skill development, laying a foundation for athletes to succeed at the highest levels of the sport.

Duke University Fencing coaches are offering the opportunity to train in our state-of-the-art facility. Combining rare artifacts and posters with the latest electronic scoring equipment and FIE instant-replay machines, the Duke Fencing Gym is altogether unique. You'll work with members of the coaching staff responsible for Duke's top-10 NCAA finish in 2014. TIMES: Tue/Thu/Fri - Facility opens at 6:30pm, closes at 9:30pm (10 on Fri) COSTS: Per-Evening Fees: $15 - Bouting Session (8:00-9:30pm) $25 - Skill Development Class (includes bouting session, 7:00-9:30pm) $45 - Upgrade to Competitive Clinic* (includes 30 mins of personal instruction) Monthly Clinic Fees: Attend unlimited sessions for a discounted price $50 / mo - Bouting Session (8:00-9:30pm) $125 / mo - Skill Development Class (7:00-9:30pm) * - Clinics are available to all athletes, regardless of skill level. STAFF: Jacek Huchwajda - Duke University Assistant Coach (Sabre). Member of 1992/1996 Olympic Teams, representing Germany. Coach at Oregon Fencing Alliance (US Nat'l Training Center for Sabre) from 2006-2012. Has produced Olympic medalists, World Champions. Darius Wei - Duke University Assistant Coach (Foil). Students include NCAA All-Americans, National Champions (Individual & Team). VENUE: Duke University Fencing Gym - https://goo.gl/maps/pJpGg The best entrance will be directly into the fencing room. If you descend the ramp between the Yoh Football Building, Cameron, and Card Gym, there'll be an open door. PARKING: Drop-off/pick-up along the circle outside of Cameron Indoor Stadium. The spaces along Whitford Dr are all free after 5pm, as is the Science Drive Visitors Lot at the bottom of Whitford Dr. If you have a DukeCard, it will swipe you into the Whitford and Card Lots after 5pm. On nights with home Olympic sports games (soccer, volleyball, lax), the Whitford and Card lots will be open and free. BRING: Full competition fencing attire, including knickers and underarm protector. No equipment is available to borrow.
