AFC's Adult Beginners - Oct 27 2014

For adults and teens (age 15+) new to fencing. This 6-week class meets Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm and teaches basic fencing skills such as footwork, basic attacks and parries, and fundamentals of fencing strategy, through drills and bouting. Classes are held in the gymnasium at Red River Church, 4425 Red River Street, at the corner of Red River and 45th Streets. The gym is the two-story building on the north-eastern side of the Red River Church complex. The entrance to the parking lot is on the 45th street side. Fencers should wear a T shirt, sweatpants, and athletic shoes for the class. For safety reasons, fencers can not fence wearing shorts. All equipment is provided. REFUND POLICY: Refunds are available until the end of the first class. If you enroll but can't attend, or if you come to the first class and then decide fencing is not for you, notify us via email (afc.secretary@gmail.com) before date of the second class session and AFC will refund your course fee, minus the small payment-processing fee our third-party enrollment service (the "AskFred" website) charges. Refunds will be processed within 4 weeks of the written request. Preregistration opens on 06/18/2014. Preregistration closes on 10/24/2014.
