Massachusetts Moniteur Clinic

Clinic Location: Pioneer Valley Fencing Academy 94 Cottage St Easthampton, MA 01027 Dates: March 10th -11th, starting at 9 am each day and going till 4 or 5 pm. Fee $120. This clinic will focus on the basic elements of fencing coaching and will help prepare attendees to pass the USFCA Moniteur practical exam. Written material from the USFCA's National Training Program will be distributed to attendees to help guide their progress after the clinic. The clinic will be taught by Fencing Master Paul Sise and Prevot Ken Mondschein. Material includes safety and professionalism, teaching warm-up exercises, footwork, group lessons, and individual lessons. The exam will be offered in Foil and Epee at the end of the clinic on March 11th. For those who need more time to prepare, Moniteur exams will also be given on April 21st in foil, epee, and saber, during the Prevot Developmental clinic also at PVFA. Those wishing to take the Moniteur exam in April need not attend the Prevot Clinic (though they are encouraged to. To take the Moniteur practical exam you must 1) be a member of the USFCA 2) have passed the written exam and 3) have paid for and registered for the practical exam.
