CFA is honored to host 5 time Olympian and legendary Coach Michael Marx for a coaches and intermediate/advanced foil/epee clinic.
Friday night will be an open fencing and "get to know everyone" session at CFA from 6-10pm. This will also give participants a chance to ask for specific topics they would like to see covered.
Saturday starts the camp proper. This will be a "dual format" clinic and is a very cool idea. There will be a coaches session before and after the athlete clinic. During the foil/epee fencer clinic, coaches will assist with the lessons and group sections of the fencers camp.
The schedule will be approximately:
8:30-10:00 Coaches Seminar
10:00-1:00 Fencers Seminar
Lunch
2:00-5:00 Fencers Seminar
5:00-7:00 Coaches Seminar

Please submit topics you would like to see covered and discussed. In addition to getting direct input from Micheal on how to frame and deliver private and group lessons we will also be working on:
Strip Coaching
Technical vs. tactical lessons
Teaching a "mental game"
How to develop group classes that compliment lessons
Other subjects as requested
I am really excited about this format as it combines a focused, intermediate-advanced fencers camp with a coaching clinic ahead of the VA Beach NAC and the end of season tourneys.
Pricing
Individual rate: $180.00 per student
Team rate: $165.00 per student (minimum group of four)
Coaches rate: $125.00 (must bring student to get this rate)
Daily rate: $100.00
Athletes participating in the MM Clinic and the spring break camp will receive a $50 discount on the week long camp following the clinic.
Preregistration opens on 02/19/2010.
